Women In Tech Interviews
Weekly Interviews that Highlight Female Programmers
We can all learn from each other at every stage in our life, so this week I've interviewed Antonella, a computer science student with the passion for programming that is necessary to succeed! 1) What was the first thing that peaked your interest in programming?
I got into programing when I was about 12 years old, when I started my first blog. I was very interested in art and design and I wasn't happy with the templates available, so started tweaking stuff. But it didn't really stick until my early twenties when my brother went into computer science and my interest for programming came rushing back.

This week we are going global! I interviewed web developer and business owner, Vaishali Budhiraja! She runs the web company Binary Quotes in New Delhi, India and inspires women both locally and globally. 1) What was the first thing that peaked your interest in programming?
The first thing that peeked my interest in programming was to see how magically things would work. The things which we had already explored a lot in our everyday life without even being bothered about their complexity and how much powerful you feel when you can see yourself as a developer. You can actually decide what the user experience of some particular app would be like. I love my journey from Microsoft Paint to Microsoft Visual Studio. This week's interview is with full stack developer, Candy who runs the tutorial site CodingCommanders.com! 1) What was the first thing that peaked your interest in programming?
My father is a computer science professor. I played computer games as far back as I can remember. Since my sister and I loved computer games, my dad asked us if we want to learn to make them. He taught us how to make little gambling games. I got obsessed! This week I interviewed Estefannie and she explains all her programming beginnings to me! 1. What was the first thing that peaked your interest in programming?Pixar. I grew up watching their films and I knew that I wanted to create anything in my imagination with just a computer. Many years later, I watched a documentary about Pixar and found that the people behind the films were computer scientists. This is how I found the degree I was looking for. A few years later, I graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a Mathematics minor.
